Being professional event photographers, we often find ourselves out shooting weddings too at weekends.

In and out of so many different venues around Melbourne, we’ve come across many that we really enjoy working at, as well as a few that we are happy to avoid!

To make your visit useful, here are our top 10 wedding venues in the Melbourne area:

Vogue Ballroom

Located in the leafy south eastern Melbourne suburb of Burwood East, Vogue Ballroom is a popular venue with clients and photographers alike.

Maintained to a high standard, serviced by friendly and approachable staff, a great dancefloor and thousands of events and weddings under their belts, this venue knows how to look after clients!  It’s no surprise that they have gained a reputation for being one of the most popular wedding venues in Melbourne.

Capable of seating up to 400 guests, this is one of the larger venues in the area and is suitable for an array of event styles from weddings to business events.

Vines of the Yarra Valley

Sitting slightly further afield, where Melbourne meets the Yarra Ranges, Vines of the Yarra Valley is becoming a popular option for both weddings and business events, as event hosts start to look for out of town options to enable guests and delegates to relax and really focus on what they are present at.

With the fine wine and excellent dining options on offer, the trip out of Melbourne CBD is definitely worth the effort and will almost certainly garner the venue some new fans.

With expansive grounds around the winery, any event or wedding photographer will be delighted to shoot at this venue with it’s numerous locations for great photos.  If you’re hosting a business event here, why not take advantage of having all your staff in one location to capture their headshots for a new website or just to keep their online business profiles up to date?  We’re happy to arrange a hair and make up team if you’d like to offer that to staff or guests.

The venue’s owners have been delivering memorable Victorian weddings for over 30 years to over 1000 couples.  Now, that is an awesome statistic!
