It was great to work with Australia’s Mr Amazon recently (no, not Jeff Bezos, the other one!) at the recent Reliable Education summit in Melbourne.
With nearly 1000 delegates in attendance, it was a busy 3 day conference and certainly gave everyone much food for thought (and hopefully action!).
Although Amazon is a relatively new entrant in Australia, it’s proved itself to be a retail juggernaut in the rest of the world.
So, if you have a product that you’d like to sell to the world check out the Reliable Education course for guidance on how to make your drop-shipping or FBA (fulfilment by Amazon) ideas into reality.
I took away a few good snippets of information which I can apply to my own photography business, along the lines of delegating and outsourcing menial jobs.
It’s so important when I’m shooting corporate events back to back that I can offload some of the work to an experienced editor or social media manager so that I don’t create a backlog of work and can focus on the current photography job or next event.
It’s taken a while to find the right members for that team, but now that I have, my photography business is running like a well oiled machine and jobs get delivered faster than ever, meaning corporate clients are happy and I stay busy but relaxed and ready for the next opportunity.
If I was a motivational speaker and wanted to paraphrase how you should streamline your business for efficiency, I’d say – ‘Be the conductor not the orchestra’.
