We always enjoy seeing the good folk from Expensify, so it was a pleasure to work with them again at the 2023 Accounting Business Expo at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Expensify are a software company that accidentally invented a great product while trying to help out homeless residents of San Francisco. Fast forward 15 years and Expensify is now listed on the Nasdaq, but still also doing really great things in helping out those less fortunate via the charitable arm of their business, focussing on youth advocacy, climate justice and homelessness.

The Expensify stand at this particular expo was an imposing presence, which coupled with a free coffee cart ensured a steady stream of visitors from the moment the doors opened each day. Who doesn’t love a free barista made coffee?!

I started watching Severance on Apple TV a few days before so I really appreciated their giant softbox and Kubrick style elements of their expo stand and couldn’t help but break out the wider lens and get down low for a slightly different perspective than normal. Oh, and if you haven’t seen Severance yet – you really should!
