Brand activation events are often alot of fun to photograph as there is interaction with the public and people are generally in an upbeat mood since they’re getting to sample a product for free or will, in some way, gain some benefit from the interaction.

One activation that we provided event photography services to recently was the Happy Socks pop up shop which was located just off Elizabeth Street during the Christmas shopping period.

The premise for this brand activation event was to encourage customers to wear a pair of Happy Socks in exchange for the socks they were wearing. So, over the course of several hours and with a large sign at the store entrance announcing what was happening, hundreds of shoppers took a break from their Christmas shopping activities in Melbourne CBD and exchanged their shocks for a brand new pair of the delightfully soft Happy Socks.

With a new pair of socks and a cool drink, participants returned to their shopping feeling refreshed and ready to go and we left feeling relieved that nobody had surprised us with cheesy feet. Phew!
