We were recently tasked with updating the photography for the website of an ASX listed company that provides warehousing, distribution and logistic services across Australia and New Zealand.

With a photography brief that included a mix of warehousing facilities, staff in their workplace environment and a selection of equipment and generic warehouse activity that was relevant to the business, we managed to complete the shot list within half a day and without any major changes to the usual daily activities.

Photographing manufacturing and industrial sites can sometimes involve a little bit of disruption to the daily workflow of a business so we’re always mindful of this in the planning stage, with an aim to minimise the amount of time any production needs to be slowed or paused to allow for either safety reasons or to create the best shot.

As far as possible, we try to work alongside a business’ usual activity, making use of breaks or natural pauses in the day to gain access to areas that aren’t easily or safely accessible.
