When the Birdman movie was released on DVD (remember those?!) in Australia, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment publicised the event with an activation near Queen Vic market in North Melbourne, using the local Melbourn artist Heesco and a body painted super hero.

Firstly, Heesco started painting the wings mural in the morning (and with permission from the building owner!) and a few hours later, our superhero stripped down to his underpants, as all good superheroes do, and the make up artists started painting his entire body to give him the look of an eagle.

Once both the wings mural and our superhero were complete, our ‘Birdman’ posed in front of the wings for photographers.

Members of the public were encouraged to pose in front of the wings, tag and post their photos to social media in order to win a copy of the movie.  A great way to get the hashtags trending and create awareness of the movie release.
