Chopper Read
I see Chopper Read is in the news with his cancer diagnosis.
I photographed him a few years ago with a young recording artist who had included him on one of his tracks. I don’t mind admitting that I was a touch nervous to be meeting Chopper in an alleyway in Collingwood, but my nerves eased when I saw him hop out of his little white Suzuki in trackie-daks and slippers. He seemed quite a long way from the Eric Bana portrayal of him that I knew!

Luxurious has been billed as “an opportunity to indulge in a bit of luxury for a very good cause with 100% of the proceeds going to support the Royal Women’s Hospital in developing a specialised parenting program” and with an $11,000 Chanel watch as one of the auction items, they stand to raise a fair wedge of cash for a very good cause.
