As an event, editorial and corporate photographer, it's always pleasing to be able to photograph projects that align with your personal values and interests, so I jumped at the chance to photograph Australia's Chief Scientist, Alan Finkel on a visit to check out a new renewable energy set up at a new public facility [...]
We've been big fans of renewable energy for many years; even before we put the solar panels on our home and the power company started paying US! We can either dig coal out the ground and burn it, OR we could throw up a few windmills, and pop some solar panels in a large [...]
Let's face it, posed business headshots aren't for everyone. Sure, they work well for Linkedin, but aside from that, they can sometimes look a little stiff and uninspiring. Clients possibly also get a little tired of seeing the same old thing too when browsing business websites, which is why it's a good idea to [...]
The Dalai Lama was in Melbourne recently and I was fortunate to be able to photograph him at a press conference for media outlets. My favourite shot from the day isn't the best technically, or even well lit, but in it he is having a bit of fun in an unguarded moment, which was [...]

Firstly, Heesco started painting the wings mural in the morning (and with [...]
MilanTrace? Yeah, I'd never heard of it either. But then, I'm not a design nut. If you like your design and know that Milan hosts a design week each year, then you probably already know about MilanTrace. For the uninitiated event photographers like me, it's basically a really comprehensive review of Milan Design Week [...]
It was our pleasure, once again, to help our regular client Colliers International celebrate Chinese New Year with some of their clients by photographing the evening for them. This year's venue was the iconic luxury retail store, Harrolds on Collins Street. Featuring plenty of Moet & Chandon champagne, excellent catering and the always popular [...]
One event that my inner child and Lego nerd hopes that I get to photograph in 2020, is Brickvention. Held at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton Gardens, Brickvention attracts thousands of Lego fans over the two days that it is open to the public. This year, one of my favourite attractions was the [...]
I love it when corporate clients choose an interesting location for an event to engage and entertain their guests. Trust me, if you work in the marketing department of a bank or company that predominantly employs men in grey suits - this is what you should be doing for your next corporate event! Forget [...]
